Pentacam

Pentacam is a corneal topographer which uses a camera that rotates 360 degrees and produces imaging of the anterior segment of the eye, it goes from the cornea to the capsule of the crystalline lens. By means of this test, it is possible to know the exact state of the eyes, and thus discover possible visual diseases in time.

What is it useful for?

It allows the diagnosis and follow-up of visual diseases, such as myopia, far-sightedness and astigmatism. It is also useful for the adaptation of contact lenses, post-operatory control of refractive surgery, and corneal transplantation.
