Patient Rights

CHOOSE

  • A free decision to accept or reject the treatment ordered by the doctor

  • To receive a second opinion in the event of any doubt regarding the diagnosis or treatment ordered by the treating physician

  • To be respected in their willingness to accept a tissue donation

  • To request care with the professional of your choice

BE INFORMED AND ASK

  • Receive full, clear and confidential communication about the procedures and treatments that are going to be performed, the purpose and risk that such treatment entails

  • Receive clear and timely information from the people who care for you

  • Know the name and position of the personnel that attends you and the services provided by the institution. Receive information about the channels to present suggestions, complaints, claims and congratulations.

  • Receive information regarding the economic value that must be paid for the services provided.


RECEIVE THE BEST CARE

  • To be treated with respect

  • Receive quality, excellent and safe medical care

  • Receive dignified, humane, fair treatment without discrimination of race, sex or political and/or religious preferences

  • Access in quality and timely conditions to the procedures, interventions, supplies and medicines included and not included in the benefit plan, being required with prior authorization from the EPS to which it belongs

PRIVACY

Maintain the confidentiality of your medical history without the possibility of access to it by third parties, with the exception of prior authorization of the patient and under the conditions determined by law

Maintain the confidentiality and protection of your personal data in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012

Duties of patients

  • Punctually attend scheduled appointments and procedures

  • Treat with respect all the people who care for you, medical, care, administrative staff and other patients and companions

  • Provide timely, sufficient, clear and truthful information that is required to receive the service

  • Timely address the recommendations made by the specialist

  • Make rational use of the Clinic facilities Adequately

  • manage self-care and that of your family

  • Comply with instructions on test preparation and procedures

  • Avoid aggressive behavior towards the person who cares for you

  • Cancel the account corresponding to the services received at the institution
