Myopia and astigmatism are two refractive errors of the visual system, which can be corrected with laser surgery thanks to a very simple intervention, like farsightedness and presbyopia or eyestrain.

In order to have correct vision, it is necessary that the two parts of the eye that act as lenses causing the light rays to fall on the retina, the cornea and the crystalline lens, work correctly. The retina receives these images and transmits them to the brain through the optic nerve. The brain collects this information and interprets it by making us see objects.

When there is a refractive problem, it is because, due to some alteration, the image is not adequately focused on the retina and this translates into blurred vision, the result of decreased visual acuity.
